Homemade Granola
6/09/26
This recipe is more like a hybrid between toasted muesli and granola, but it’s my favourite.
Ingredients
Note – you can use any types of seeds or nuts for this recipe. Just choose your favourites!
- 120 g mixed nuts
- 6 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 240 g whole rolled oats
- 100 g pumpkin seeds
- 100 g coconut flakes
- 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp nutmeg
- 4 tbsp olive oil or coconut oil
- 2 tbsp nut butter
- 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- Pinch sea salt
Method
Add all your dry ingredients (nuts, seed, oats, coconut and spices) to a bowl and stir to combine.
In a small bowl, add your nut butter (zap in the microwave for 30 seconds to melt if it’s not runny), oil and honey and mix together. Pour the nut butter mixture over the dry ingredients, mix well, and then spread onto a baking sheet.
Bake at 200ºC (180ºC fan-forced) for 5-15 mins, checking every 5 mins to make sure it doesn’t burn and mixing so the granola toasts evenly. Once golden and toasted, remove from the oven and allow to cool before popping into an airtight container.
